“Tech4Escape” is NTS’ social advocacy project to advocate against online crime by enlightening and equipping secondary school students and youths with skills that would discourage them from participating in cybercrime and cyber fraud. The secondary school outreaches will include tech experts who will be invited to speak with students, to encourage them as evidence of honest tech work. The speakers’ aim is to show them that there is another way, and that not everyone is doing fraud.
Beyond the school engagements, “Tech4Escape” aims to be able to organize bootcamps for interested students to train them on various skills. After the bootcamps, we also hope to link them with mentors willing to train them in their respective niches.
Fraudsters have HKs where they house and train younger people, why not have something ideologically similar to that for legit tech works?
The idea around “Tech4Escape” is if you must press laptop, do it legally.
