TechOff, Nigeria’s fast-rising tech reality TV show has opened registration for the TechOff 2026 edition with up to $1,000 in cash and prizes for participants.
The platform revealed in a statement shared with NaijaTechStories that TechOff 2026, which is the fourth edition, is tagged “Everybody Can Build”. As such, this year’s edition will cover five cities namely Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Ife, and Akure.
The show seeks to create opportunities for aspiring innovators, creators, designers, engineers, and others, to build scalable solutions that solve real-world problems leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies.
TechOff started in 2023 as a talent showcase platform. However, it has now evolved into a multi-city movement to discover, amplify, and empower emerging builders across the country.
The platform seeks to advance innovation from its current control by technical experts to include more young people. Hence, it aims to assist participants in moving from ideas to execution with the provision of mentorship, ecosystem access and scaling opportunity. This is expected to bridge the widening tech talent gaps in Nigeria.
TechOff Founder, Mr. Olumide Sosanya remarked that TechOff 2026 will focus on leveraging AI for improved innovations.
“We are entering a new era where AI is lowering the barrier to innovation. TechOff 2026 is about helping more people realize that they, too, can build meaningful solutions regardless of their background,” Sosanya stated.
Since inception, the platform has engaged hundreds of participants, activated industry experts and mentors. The platform has also supported emerging innovators through funding, visibility, and ecosystem opportunities.
Specifically, TechOff has distributed over N2 million in cash and prizes to more than 5 winning teams. The show has also facilitated the formation of over 12 teams and at least 1 start-up venture.
Meanwhile, for the 2026 edition, the platform intends to distribute over One Million Naira in Cash and other prizes to participants.
